We make the Difference

vxPCC

Client: A Sri Lankan Telecom operator

The Problem

A leading Mobile Service Provider in Sri Lanka who had a data monetization platform from a global front-runner in PCRF approached us for a requirement to locally build a solution, which would give them more freedom in customization and capacity expansion. The issues as to why they were hesitant to continue with their existing service provider was; the existing system lacked customizable features while allowing the MSP to create dynamic rules to match changing marketing conditions and the biggest concern being the huge costs required for the expansion to double the capacity.

The Solution

The operator saw vxPCC as means of quick and cost-effective way to provide new service offerings to its subscribers. They could offer service based & time-based data packages, free-data offerings and many more features they missed in previous platform. Deep Packet Engine together with vxAnalytics features built-in to platform now provides them real-time visibility on network & bandwidth utilization. Platform consists of an in-browser selfcare widget that enables subscribers to check their balance in real-time and activate data packs without leaving their browser, which is the first of it’s kind offered by a operate in the region. Although the platform can be smoothly integrated with any Online Charging System (through AAA protocol) the platform has its own bundle charging module allowing subscribers to activate unlimited number of data packs. The biggest advantage of the platform is its capability to scale as and when the demand increases. With the pay-as-you-grow model, our client was able to convert their otherwise CAPEX to a monthly OPEX model which gradually increases as the demand grows. Within a span of 24-months our client managed to increase their internet bandwidth from 10-folds.

An array of reports & dashboards allow the operator to have 100% visibility on what’s happening and how the gateway is being utilized by CPs.

Exposure Monitoring System

Client: A Sri Lankan Telecom operator

The Problem

The operator did not have sufficient APIs to connect with the Postpaid Billing System. The PBS was only capable of giving very limited information in the form of files. The system designed by VizuaMatix stores to bill plan configurations, rates, free usages. It also stores rates and benefits given by various Value Added Services. The system receives the total unbilled usage of the subscribers every two hours in the form of files. The system receives various other usage information from third party services such as E-Channelling, M-Ticketing. System approximately calculates the billable usage of each subscriber after providing the bill plan/VAS benefits, and taxing the payable usage.
